Campgrounds

Umbria is well known for it’s lush green countryside, regional parks, and natural unspoiled beauty. Though a relatively small region in size compared to its neighboring regions, Umbria does have a number of well rated campsites located across the region, many situated around Lago di Trasimeno, Umbria’s largest lake. The list below was compiled from a number of camping online sites and travel books, and includes camp facilities that received a decent to outstanding rating. Most campsites do have their own websites (just click on campsite name for the link) which will allow you to determine the exact location, costs, and site particulars, but there are a couple included in the list below that do not have a website but were well rated. The campsites listed are not personal recommendations, but are instead a comprehensive list of Umbrian campsites that received good reviews on many online camping sites. Hopefully this list of campsites will assist you in planning your trip to Umbria whether you are looking for a shady spot to hitch your tent, or require a spot to park your camping trailer while you tour the region.
