This 6 day, 5 night Umbria cycling vacation begins with a ride up to the hill town of Trevi, where Marcello will introduce us to the culture of Umbrian wines and cuisine. These intimate experiences will continue throughout the week as we cycle through the legendary towns and untouched villages of Spello, Montefalco, Deruta, Torgiano and Bevagna. The culmination of our Umbria bike tour will be a ride to Assisi, where we’ll have the opportunity to view the tremendous art and architecture created in homage to Francis, the town’s most famous native son, including works by some of the greatest artists of the Early Renaissance, like Giotto, Cimabue and Simone Martini.
